Offline Tour Competition Rules
The mode of play for each match will be stroke play.
Each venue will be pre-selected by the Tour Admins and .lts files / mops will be created for each of the bi weekly events.
Files and Forfeit
The only files required to be sent in for each match will be the score text file, gamestat.txt, ver file, and after the completion of there 4th round there player pin file, the reason for this is just in case any member playing the tour has a computer problem. They would then be able to request there player pin file from the last tournament that they played in.
The .lts file will be set up to record each game, this should be saved if you forget to save the scoretext, it is a safety net and need only be sent in the circumstances mentioned.
links-golf.net Rules
All general rules of links-golf.net regarding chipping and putting etc. also apply to the Offline Tour. When creating a player for the Offline Tour, this player is only to be used for the Offline Tour, the player must be set at one of the following Pro, Champ or Elite, therefore Amateur setting is not allowed, also not allowed is the use of the break line indicator.
In the event of there being a tie / ties after the 4 Rounds, the winner will be determined by the lowest back 9 score, this being taken from Round 4, if we still are in a tie position the winner will then be the lowest net from there back 9 score taken from Round 3. The Majors will be decided by the play-off method, the players involved will be expected to play an extra 18 holes using conditions & pins of the administrators choice taken from one of the four rounds used for the tournament. If after the play-off we are still in a tied situation the player with the best score returned for holes 9,10 & 11 will be used, if we are still tied we shall then use holes 3,4 & 5. Hopefully by this time we will have our winner if not holes 16, 17 & 18 will be used and so on until a champion is found.Online Play
Although the league is broadly an offline event Tour Admins have no objection to players playing their game online as long as no person is made to feel obliged to do so. With this in mind Tour Admins will make available a MOP and pin settings alongside the .lts files.
When files are received they will then be processed into the leaderboard.
