links-golf.net Stableford Tour Competition Rules

The mode of play for each match will be Stableford play, with no handicaps.

Each Tournament will begin on the First day of each Month and Files must be returned by Midnight on the 25th of that month. This allows 25 days to complete all 4 rounds, that should be plenty of time.

Each venue will be pre-selected by the Tour Admins and .lts files will be created for each of the monthly events.

Stableford Point Scoring

We are using a MOP which gives the following points

1. Double Bogie or worse.......... -2 points
2. Par.......................................... 2 points
3. Birdie.......................................4 points
4. Eagle.......................................7 points
5. Albatross or Double Eagle.....10 points
6. Hole in One ..........................15 points
7. Putt over 30 Feet....................3 points

Also we are going to award points for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin. Each of the 4 rounds will have different holes for these scoring opportunities, so you will need to check each round before you play to see which holes these are.

1. Longest Drive.....................2 points
2. Closest to the Pin...............3 points

Files and Forfeit

The only files required to be sent in for each match will be the MOPTOTAL file, gamestat.txt and the .ver file.

All Files and Saved shots should be sent to stablefordtour@links-golf.net.

The .lts file will be set up to record each game, this should be saved if you forget to save the above files, it is a safety net and need only be sent in the circumstances mentioned.

Tied Games

If the lead is tied then the winner will be decided on count back, this will be achieved by firstly looking at round 4 scores if still tied will go to round 3, then 2, then round 1

links-golf.net Rules

All general rules of links-golf.net regarding chipping and putting etc. also apply to the Stableford Tour.

Online Play

Although the Stableford Tour is broadly an offline event Tour Admins have no objection to players playing their game online as long as no person is made to feel obliged to do so. With this in mind Tour Admins will make available the conditions and pin placements.

When files are received they will then be processed into the leaderboard. Each Round points score carried forward to the next to produce an event winner, and then each events Stableford points carried forward each month into the Order of Merit table
