Links-golf.net/Golfgraffix is a handicap tour which can be played either Offline or Online please see the rules.

The tour will also be using Links v1.07.

The tournaments are to be played on golf course’s that Golfgraffix have been commissioned to design.

The intention is for these tournaments to be played over one calendar month and just to keep the events as real as the pin placements and conditions are to be set up by the greenkeeper / keepers of the course that the current tournament will be playing, these will then be made into LTS files and made available for downloading at www.links-golf.net

Scores received shall then be uploaded on a regular basis at www.links-golf.net and at www.golfgraffix.com

A unique aspect of these tournaments is that the winner of the tournament being played will receive a prize, this will be at the discretion of the golf club that we are playing the tournament at, and hopefully will influence the entries / participation.

Also I would like to stress to you all, is that we are not after other sites playing membership, we want these tournaments to run alongside other sites that are out there.

Just to bring everyone up to speed or rather just a brief history of links-golf.net and Golfgraffix. Links-golf.net came about after the demise of WireLS, my name is Alwyn Chambers, know doubt many of you will have seen my name at various other sites either playing from the name above or Budster. www.links-golf.net was set up after the demise of WireLS like I explained earlier, I was looking in the autumn of 2008 to re-start playing there in 2009, it was then that I was made aware that WireLS was closing down, I noticed at the time on the Forum for WireLS that the members wanted the site to continue, I then took the plunge and contact Chris the owner and after speaking with Chris I was offered everything that he had at WireLS apart from the name, so links-golf.net was borne, we have been up and running now for just about 2 years and we have plenty to offer the golfing fraternity, this new venture will run alongside of what we are already offering, so to all our existing members please feel assured that what we are currently offering will still be available and we are hoping to have plenty more birthdays at links-golf.net in years to come, that’s as long as there is still an interest in Links v1.07.

Golfgraffix is based in Dublin, Ireland and was set up by John Aherne, the web site is at www.golfgraffix.com which is the leading site in Golf Course Visualisation, John is better known to us all that play Links v1.07 on a regular basis for the design works that he has produced and these course are of the highest quality, you only have to see the feed back from linksters regarding them.

The courses that John has designed are as follows, Portmarnock Links, Malahide, Roganstown Golf & Country Club, Carton House (Mark O’Meara) Course, Carton House (The Montgomerie) Course, Valderrama 2008, Hermitage Golf Club and Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club. Golfgraffix are also part of the Apple iPhone Developer Program and can produce custom designed Apps for golf, hotel and resort marketing. I hope that tell you all who we are and what we are looking to offer by way of these new tournaments.

Like I said earlier in writing this introduction, personally I am very excited about this new venture, I hope that what I have written will be enough to wet your appetites enough for you to register when we announce the very first tournament.

Alwyn & John
